A Day At The Water Park And A Massive Bike Wreck

Yesterday we spent the day at the water park. We have a small (but fun) waterpark about an hour away. We went with my dad's church group. We had too much fun.

Jack wanted to hang out with the big boys. But he got tired fast. He did ride the slide 2 times. There are only 2 water slides there. And only one for children that are under 48 inches.

Maci Clare enjoyed the kids play area. There were lots of things shooting out water. But she stayed right in the edge and had a great time. She tried to drink a little bit but we told her it was nasty.

I saw Gabe a few times. We did get to ride the slide together so that was kinda cool.

Zane, on the other hand, was all over the place and I only saw him twice the whole afternoon. I caught him trying to warm up in the shower. That was the only warm water in the whole park.

We thought the kids would be tired on the way home but this is what they looked like on the bus.

And now for the Massive Bike Wreck!
Every night, Jim and I ride the 4 wheeler with the two younger kids and the two older ones follow along behind (as best they can) on their bikes. Tonight as we were waiting at the bottom of the hill, there was a tremendous crash. Gabe was riding down the hill and Zane shouted at him to move over. Gabe moved over and Zane crashed into the back of him. Oh, the screams! We stopped and ran back to see what happened. This is the result.

Zane's knee was pretty bad but that was the only thing wrong with him.
But look at that face!
Gabe's face is pretty beat up. He will have a black eye tomorrow.
He also had a pretty good strawberry!
And we thought his finger might be broken but I think it is just bruised and beat up!

I asked Zane if he had learned anything from this wreck and he said, "Yeah, I need to learn to use my brakes."
This wreck could have been a lot worse but we are thankful that it wasn't. And we didn't have to make a trip to the ER. Thank goodness!
