I mixed up a batch tonight and it seems to me that the flour is not enough. The dough was too sticky. I added more flour...I think it ended up being almost 4-1/2 to 5 cups in all. I think I will add a note in the recipe that you should START with 3cups of flour, but continue to add until it forms a stiff dough. That's what I do with my sugar cookies. There's no set amount of flour, just add until it's ready.
Hope this helps and I hope your family is feeling much better by now.

Have a Blessed and Merry Christmas!!Juliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08650137617186773906noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7663828114705497538.post-49884952130565179452008-12-16T14:55:00.000-05:002008-12-16T14:55:00.000-05:00Oh, I'm sorry the cookies didn't work out. I'll be trying them next week. I hope they work out. Maybe I need to cook a practice batch.

The Spritz cookies are easy, peasy. I've been making TONS of these for teachers gifts this year. Just make sure your butter is soft but not melted. It will make a difference.

Good luck on your baking.
