Another Monday

It was another very rainy Monday. Gabe is still at home running a high fever and can't seem to get moving. He is coughing and throwing up. Needless to say, we are headed back to the doctor tomorrow. I wanted to try to get some shopping done today. So where did I go? The internet. I got quite a bit bought but I don't usually shop on the internet and it was very frustrating to me. I probably will avoid this unless it is a necessity next time. I am going to try to get a few more things done. You know, Santa brings all the presents so the parents don't really have to do that much. I am getting a little stressed this close to Christmas and everyone keeps getting sick. Oh well, it will be alright I'm sure.

It will be alright (hug) Praying that all the sickies will be gone by Christmas and you will have a happy, healthy holiday.

I hate internet shopping too! I like to hold it and look at it and carry it around while I decide if I want it or not:) I order two things from the internet yesterday for Scott and it took forever and made me want to scream!

My goodness! I cannot believe you all are still sick. I think your husband was right and hope that you are getting this out of the way for Christmas.

Oh, I'm sorry the cookies didn't work out. I haven't tried them yet. I try to add a new cookie or two to my tray each year and the cookies from Publix are my new ones this year. I'll be trying them next week. I hope they work out. Maybe I need to cook a practice batch.

The Spritz cookies are easy, peasy. I've been making TONS of these for teachers gifts this year. Just make sure your butter is soft but not melted. It will make a difference.

Good luck on your baking. I'm sorry my recipe didn't work out :-(

I back about the cookies I posted from the publix mag. I mixed up a batch tonight and it seems to me that the flour is not enough. The dough was too sticky. I added more flour...I think it ended up being almost 4-1/2 to 5 cups in all. I think I will add a note in the recipe that you should START with 3cups of flour, but continue to add until it forms a stiff dough. That's what I do with my sugar cookies. There's no set amount of flour, just add until it's ready.
Hope this helps and I hope your family is feeling much better by now.

Have a Blessed and Merry Christmas!!
