I'm Tired!

Leaving behind another busy weekend and looking forward to another busy week and I need to rest. I know my children and my husband are exhausted. This weekend started out with a small barbecue supper with close friends. It was great to get to see all our friends we only see once or twice a year. They were an hour away so the drive itself with 4 children was tiring.
On Saturday. baseball, baseball, baseball! We decided to take Lucy to the baseball game too. I feel sorry for her now that she has to stay tied up. Poor dog! But she loved being out with us.

Lucy stayed in the outfield with her grandma.

Brotherly love

Run, Gabe, Run!

Keep your eye on the ball!

I did manage to get up and go to a few yard sales. There were just a few in our area. I just can't justify driving (and using all my expensive gas) to get a cheap treasure. As much as I love to go to yard sales.

I bought these frames for $3. The smaller one is brand new. It still has the cardboard on the back and corners. It was only $1.

I only found 3 yards sales in our town but on the way to the baseball game, I convinced my hubby to stop at one and I got this.

This basket is huge and it has the cloth liner. I paid $3 for it.

I bought this shelf for $2. Two of the pegs are missing but I want to paint it to look "antique" and use some of the old doorknobs from our old house as the pegs.
So I did Okay but I would like to have more time to hit a lot of yard sales. A friend that we were with on Friday night said there were 85 sales advertised in her town. Boy, am I jealous but with gas prices like they are, I'm still not sure it is worth it.

Anyway, Jim did play one softball game and then we did get to go out. We went to Outback with another couple. We had a great time and I ate way too much.
On Sunday, we went to the late service and then we had a shower for my sister in law at our church. It was really fun and it was great to get to see all of my extended family. We just don't get to see each other enough. One of my blogging buddies, Windy, got to come to the shower. (She is also my cousin's wife.) The shower was great!

There are 4 generations in this picture. I love this!

This was a great end to our busy weekend! I'm heading out to try to find a frame for this picture. I don't want to wait until the next yard sale.

Great finds, if you decide not to use the doorknobs you can find the pegs at home improvement stores.

I have been considering how much I am going to try to go to yardsales. We usually have been out every sat. but I think I am going to just hit the ones close by or on the way to other places or neighborhood sales. I probably won't stick to this- it is an addiction. And, I do get some great stuff at garage sales. Man, I have already talked myself out of saving gas!
